Greg Madill
mandolin, octave mandolin, irish bouzouki, drums, bodhran, percussion, guitar, and vocals
Greg always wanted to be a professional hockey player when he grew up...(I'll pause here for a moment or two while you laugh uncontrollably and then compose yourself...) OK......so that dream percolated for awhile, and then one night he saw the Beatles on late night t.v.......he burned his hockey sticks and started banging on pots and pans and anything else in the way....and imagined himself as a drummer in a rock band...man, that surely drove a few people more than a liitle crazy.... Anyway, one day, 2 or 3 years later in Duluth, his good friend Mike showed him a few chords on his electric guitar and once again...Greg was smitten...
Fast forward many years....Greg and his wife have raised an awesome crew of 4 children, he's won a few hockey tournaments and managed to figure out how to get some notes out of a few different stringed instruments....not always the right note at the right time, but he calls that improvising....He does some songwriting, singing and is actually not too bad at playing the fool...He has recently been to Hawaii and discovered the ukulele....watch for it, but don't expect any tiny bubbles...
